About Trevor

Trevor KeysTrevor Keys has been a Chartered Physiotherapist and member of the Health Professions Council since qualifying in 2002. He enjoyed a rapid progression through the NHS, first working alongside leading orthopedic consultants at the University College London Hospital, before advancing to Senior Physiotherapist at the Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Accident and Emergency department. Here, he managed a team of senior and junior physiotherapists, providing expert musculoskeletal assessment and diagnosis.

Concurrently in 2008, Trevor set up his own clinic, dedicated to the study and practice of physiotherapy, which is how Key Physio began. At his clinic, Trevor continued to advance his research into specialist areas of interest, including dynamic movement screening and high level functional rehabilitation, MSK dynamic ultrasound scanning and management of tendon injury.

Trevor has considerable experience with handling the demands of treating elite sportsmen and women, having worked at two professional football clubs (Charlton Athletic and Southend United), as well as taking up a position of Head Physiotherapist at Barking Rugby Club in 2009.

In 2012 Trevor moved from Barking RFC to Westcliff RFC and was set the objective of developing the best club rugby medical outfit in the county. With support from the club and its sponsors Trevor has transformed the medical and rehabilitation unit into one that possesses equipment and skills usually reserved for full time professional clubs. This is accessible to clients via Key Physiotherapy.

Throughout his many years of practice, Trevor has gained invaluable experience working with numerous people from different backgrounds and age groups, and is happy to work with both sporting and non-sporting people alike.

"His enthusiasm and determination when it comes to grueling rehabilitation is contagious and I have no doubt I owe my quick and full recovery to his exceptional treatment, knowledge and attitude..."
